It’s late night on a desolate highway and Sean (Blaine Pate) is tired, dead tired. After nearly dozing off at the wheel, he pulls into a rest area to grab some much needed shut eye. Sean’s slumber is brief as he’s awakened by Amy (Marcelina Willis), a lonely traveler, who asks if she can join him in his car. After some deliberation, Sean agrees to let her stay with him. Once inside, the chatty Amy rambles on not allowing the exhausted Sean a moment of peace. Rest Area is a dark comedic thriller that asks, “Will Sean ever get to sleep?” “Will Amy ever shut up?” “Who will give in before the break of dawn?”
